Deer Run #2

Welcome to Deer Run #2 “Ballypines Cabin”. Looking for an “Up North Vacation?” This updated, charming true Northwoods lodge was built in 1907 (one of the oldest buildings in St Germain). Located in the shared resort known as Deer Run Resort on the eastern shore of stunning Big Saint Germain Lake. Enjoy the majestic sunsets from the deck amidst the towering pine trees. The view from this cabin is the attraction. The smell of pine is in the air, a loon calls from across the lake, an owl hoots, mommy ducks tending to their young, deer pass several times a day and an eagle swoops down in the lake for a fish. Big St. Germain Lake is over 1625 acres with access to Lake Content and Fawn Lake. Big St. Germain offers uncrowded boating, fishing, swimming and cruising. This is a Class A Musky lake, plenty of walleye, pike, bass, and pan fish. The cabin is great for families with a level sandy 600 feet of shoreline, large beach area, shallow swim area, sand volleyball court, basketball hoop, playground, nightly camp fires with s’mores, and a painted sky of stars. If you’re a fisherman we have plenty of trailer parking, 3 piers and a fish cleaning house.  If you rent a boat or bring a boat, make sure you dock your boat at Clearview Supper Club, Sisters Saloon and Fibbers to share your fishing stories or sit back and relax and enjoy an Old Fashioned. St. Germain is a paradise for golfers, fishermen, hunters, and wildlife-watchers! Direct access to trails for hiking, biking, ATV and snowmobiling. Downtown Saint Germain is less then 5 minutes away with a full grocery store, gas station, bait shop, bars and amazing restaurants.

You will love the 3 season room with a custom bar top table, vaulted ceilings and lake views that leads to the huge 30×35 outdoor deck. Relax in the lakeside living room with the best sunset on Big Saint Germain Lake. Bedroom 1 on main level has a king bed and a single bed. Bedroom 2 on main level has a queen bed. Bedroom 3 on 2nd level has a queen bed with amazing lake views. Bedroom 4 on 2nd level has a full bed with 2 twins.  Bedroom 5 on 2nd level has 1 Queen and 2 twins. Bedroom 6 on main level (updated in 2021) is a nautical inspired room with a wet bar and a flat screen that can sleep 8 (2 custom bunk beds with trundles and a futon). The kitchen is fully stocked and there are 3 full bathrooms. There are games, poker chips, movies, books, and kayaks provided at no additional cost. 

A vacation lodge for all seasons.  We have plenty of room for families, reunions, weddings and girls or boys outings. Excellent Ice fishing location, snowshoe & hiking paths nearby.
